Everything in the app, in the order you'll meet it. If something here doesn't match what you see, email tavosupport@gmail.com and we'll fix one or the other.
Taskbound has three pages, along the bar at the bottom: Lists (everything you've filed), Upcoming (today, then the days ahead) and Goals. The gear on the left of the bar opens Settings. The + on the right makes whatever belongs on the page you're on: a list on Lists, a task on Upcoming, a goal on Goals.
You can use Taskbound without an account, and everything stays on your phone. Sign in with Apple, Google or an email address and your lists are kept in your account too, the same on every iPhone you sign into. Changes are saved on your phone first, so the app works with no signal and catches up later.
Making one. Tap +, type, and press Done. Write it the way you'd say it, like “Dentist tomorrow at 9”, and Taskbound offers the date and time as you type. Tap Set to take it, and the words tidy themselves up. From the same screen you can pick a list, add a reminder, or pin it to the top.
Opening one. Tap a task to open its own page: the due date, a reminder, a place, notes, and steps you can tick off one by one. Repeats live here too, from every day to every year.
Holding one. Press and hold a task for a quick menu: Complete, Edit, Date, Delete. Keep holding and drag to move it.
Swipe a task left to finish it. A check lights up once you've pulled far enough; let go and the card bursts. Swipe right to delete it. A red bin lights up instead.
Either way, an Undo button appears just above the bar for a few seconds. Missed it? Finished and deleted tasks wait in Settings → Archive, where you can put any of them back.
Every list has its own color and icon, and every task wears its list's color wherever it shows up. The button at the top of Lists switches between big cards and small boxes.
Inside a list, the menu in the top corner can edit its name, color and icon, Select tasks to finish or delete several at once, send the whole list as text, or clear it. Press and hold a list on the Lists page to edit, share or delete it, or drag it to reorder.
A list can have a place: its reminders then go off when you get there.
Upcoming starts with Today and carries on through the days ahead. Anything late says so on the card. Tap the date beside a day's name to open that day by the hour.
Turn on Settings → Reminders → Calendar events and your calendar's appointments sit beside your tasks. Taskbound only ever reads your calendar; it never changes it.
A goal is something bigger, broken into steps, with a date if you want one. Each goal's card shows how many days are left and the next step or two; tick a step off right there. Not sure where to start? The Goals page offers ready-made ideas.
Open a goal to add, reorder or tick off its steps. Its menu has Select steps, to finish or delete several at once.
Tap the magnifying glass at the top of any page. A search bar comes up above the keyboard, and the page filters as you type: Lists by list names and the tasks inside them, Upcoming and a list's page by task names and notes, Goals by goals and their steps. The X in the bar closes it.
Give a task a reminder from its page or when you make it. When it goes off, the notification has Complete and Snooze 10 min right on it.
Settings → Reminders holds the rest:
If reminders never arrive, check that notifications are on for Taskbound in the iPhone's Settings app.
Pick the apps you lose time in under Settings → Scroll Stop, using Apple's own Screen Time picker. Once a day, the first time you open one of them, Taskbound shows your first task in front of it.
Tap I'll be productive and the app is put away, with a notification that opens Taskbound on your task. Tap Scroll anyway and the app opens as usual; Scroll Stop won't ask again until tomorrow. It's a nudge, never a lock.
Siri. Say “Add a task to Taskbound”, “Make a goal in Taskbound” or “What's on today in Taskbound”. Settings → Connections → Siri lists everything you can say.
Widgets. Touch and hold your home screen until the icons wobble, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Taskbound. For the lock screen, touch and hold it, tap Customize, then tap the area under the clock.
Apple Reminders. Settings → Apple Reminders lets you choose which Reminders lists to bring into Taskbound. Each one comes in as a list and stays in step afterwards.
Tap your name at the top of Settings. From there you can set your name and picture, see when you last synced, sync now, sign out, Download your data as one file, or delete your account. Deleting the account erases everything in it, immediately, on every device. A subscription is separate; cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
Settings → Account → Delete Everything erases every task, list and goal, here and in your account, signs you out, and starts Taskbound over from the beginning. It can't be undone.
